Dr. Elena Alexiev, DDS
Elena Alexiev was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. She moved to the United Stated at the age of 8 and grew up in Port Charlotte, Florida. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences.
Dr. Alexiev attended Nova Southeastern University for her dental training and completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado to further her comprehensive skillset.
After practicing for 4 years as a General Dentist, Dr. Alexiev was inspired to learn more about orthodontics. She attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio where she earned her Masters in Dentofacial Orthopedics. She enjoys working with children and watching their lives and smiles transform. She hopes to be a shining light in her patients’ day, educating them, and bringing fun into the orthodontic office.
Dr. Alexiev is involved with her community dental club and believes that continued education is the key to a healthy, long career. Dr. Alexiev enjoys volunteering at the local humane society, where she found her two cats, Domino and Anya. She enjoys spending time with her fiancé, Nick, and being a bonus mom to Angelina and Isabella. On her free time, you can find Dr. Alexiev at the gym or snowboarding.
